¨Knossos¨
Humans and Animals at Play

13.25¨ Diameter x 1.5¨

This work harkens back to the bull dancer of the ancient Minoan civilization in Greece. The dancer/ jumper plays with the bull by somersaulting over its back. It was an acrobatic stunt believed to be part of a minotaur religious celebration that took place in the Minoan capital of Knossos.

Animals and humans share a love of fun and evidence of humans playing with other animals exists throughout history.
